April 6 - NileDutch has confirmed that the NileDutch Atlantic will make an impromptu port call at Durban on April 11.

The flexible multipurpose ship will be available to load ro-ro, breakbulk, project and containerised cargo bound for West Africa and Europe.

Cheryle Bosch of NileDutch SA in Johannesburg said that following the Durban call, the ship will head northbound calling at Luanda, Pointe Noire, Lagos, Tema, Lisbon, Antwerp and Rotterdam.

NileDutch has served African shipping interests for over 25 years, connecting the continent directly with Asia, Europe and South America. Bosch describes West Africa as the line's "bread and butter".

For South Africa, NileDutch operates dedicated services linking the country to the Far East and West Africa, with on-carriage to Europe and the East Coast of South America.
