Xin Hwa adds Goldhofer modules

Xin Hwa Holdings has placed an order with Goldhofer for over one hundred THP/SL axle lines with extendable spacers.

Xin Hwa, based in Mayalasia, with a subsidiary operating in Singapore, was awarded a contract to deliver components to Kuala Lumpur's Mass Rapid Transport (MRT) construction project.

According to Goldhofer, the company ordered the vehicle combinations specially for the project and will use the equipment to transport concrete beams weighing up to 160 tons (145.2 tonnes) to various MRT construction sites as of next year.

Work on the MRT project began in 2011. Upon completion of the project, which is scheduled for 2021, the MRT network will link the existing rail network with the Klang Valley Integrated Transit System.
