September 20 - The Port Equipment Manufacturers Association (PEMA) has added two new members and appointed four new officers to its committees.

The association's two new members include US based material handling solutions provider ACE World Companies and Spain headquartered equipment manufacturer TEC Containers.

Meanwhile, PEMA named Kari Rintanen, manager of port technology research at Konecranes, as chair of its PEMA Automation & Control Technologies (AC&T) committee, and Alois Recktenwald, senior key expert, crane at Siemens' process industries and drives division, as vice chair of the AC&T committee.

Frank Kho, global head of offering development for Kalmar, was appointed vice chair of PEMA's Safety and Environment (S&E) committee; while Jon Sojo Arana, export director at Tratos Group, was chosen as chair of the Special Events, Programmes and Education (SEPE) committee.
