November 20 - Doha, Qatar based Intergroup Shipping (IGS Qatar) has handled the delivery of a large shipment of pipes moved on special trailers from Doha port to a downtown construction site in the Qatari capital.

According to IGS Qatar deputy general manager Jigar Shah the four-day assignment involved some 200 trailer trips with two 30-tonne capacity cranes being used to load and stack the pipes.

According to Shah, IGS Qatar had to win a competitive bidding process against a number of multinational and local project logistics providers to land the contract, but the company's past experience in handling such heavy and oversize pipe logistics within Qatar helped win the day.
