ALE handles cable reel and tanks

ALE has completed the transportation of a 22-tonne cable reel and three 223-280-tonne cable tanks at a port in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.

ALE used 24 axle lines of self propelled trailers and an eight-axle Nooteboom trailer to transport the consignments to the port's Customs area, where they underwent Customs clearance procedures.

ALE's route survey indicated that the cable tanks could not be moved through the port safely without removing several obstructions. A barge was used to load-out the tanks and transport them across the port.
