Carmody steps up at Newcastle

The Australian port of Newcastle has appointed Craig Carmody as ceo, tasked with driving growth and progressing the port’s diversification agenda.

 

Carmody, who joins the port from Svitzer Australia, replaces Geoff Crowe, who has led the organisation for three years.

Before joining Svitzer, Carmody worked as a senior government advisor in transport and infrastructure. He will commence his role at the Port of Newcastle on August 1, 2018.
