Cuxport Terminal in Germany welcomed Seajacks’ installation vessel Scylla on December 30 to load the final foundation structures for the Deutsche Bucht offshore wind farm.

Balance of plant contractor Van Oord has used Cuxport for the storage and transhipment of monopoles and transition pieces for Northland Power’s Deutsche Bucht offshore wind farm since August 2018. In total, Seajacks’ vessel Scylla has loaded 31 transition pieces, each weighing approximately 300 tonnes, and monopiles, weighing approximately 1,100 tonnes.
