Rhenus Logistics has acquired Italy’s Cesped along with its related companies.
According to Rhenus, the agreement, which was signed on December 17, 2018, strengthens its position in the Italian and European road haulage markets, thanks to Cesped’s presence in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia and Veneto regions.
Guido Restelli, managing director Rhenus Logistics in Italy, will join the management board of Cesped.
The acquisition also includes Delta Mare, which Cesped acquired in 2018. Located in Venice, the shipping agent handles heavy and bulk cargoes, as well as out-of-gauge (OOG), container and ro-ro shipments.
