March 4 - Antwerp based Rollit Cargo has handled a 6MW offshore wind turbine for its clients Rhenus/Wirtz Shipping, set for the Belwind North Sea Project.
Using 32 (2 x 16) axle lines, Rollit Cargo executed the ro-ro loadout of a 420-tonne nacelle and tower sections each weighing 200 tonnes at the port of Oostende.
Rollit Cargo also used its own heavy cranes to lift piles (119-tonne) and 74 m blades (33-tonne).
