May 21 - Ruslan International has handled the movement of a large deck loader for the Boeing 747 Dreamlifter from the Riverside Air Force Base in California to the Charleston Air Force Base in South Carolina.

The wheeled special cargo loader, which had the dimensions 33.13 m x 6.08 m x 3.44 m, was winched onto an AN-124 freighter aircraft in California, before being flown a distance of 3,500 km to its final site.

The deck loader is used in the loading and unloading of 787 parts from the 747 Dreamlifter, which is a modified 747-400 passenger aircraft and is the primary means of transporting major Boeing 787 Dreamliner assembled from suppliers to the final 787 assembly plant in Everett, Washington.
