AAL delivers for Stockyard

AAL has transported a 305-tonne Toshiba transformer for Australia’s Stockyard Hill wind farm in Victoria on behalf of Cargo Line International.

Measuring 14 m x 5 m, the transformer was loaded on board the heavy lift vessel AAL Dalian in Shanghai using the ship’s 700-tonne capacity cranes. The unit was offloaded in Geelong, Victoria for onward delivery to the wind farm’s terminal station in Lismore, approximately 170 km west of Melbourne.

The Stockyard Hill wind farm will feature 149 turbines, the first of which was installed earlier in February. The remaining turbines will be installed throughout 2019, with construction due for completion in 2020.
