Hemmingsen to leave Mærsk

A.P. Møller - Mærsk has announced that Claus Hemmingsen is stepping down as vice ceo and ceo of the energy division.

Hemmingsen led the separation of A.P. Møller - Mærsk’s oil and oil-related businesses, including Maersk Tankers, Maersk Oil and Maersk Drilling – a strategy that was initiated during 2016.

As a result, the company’s energy division will close down by the end of June 2019 and Hemmingsen will subsequently step down from his positions at A.P. Møller - Mærsk.
