Jumbo hops to Kwinana

In late 2018, Jumbo’s heavy lift vessel Fairpartner lifted and shipped two eco hoppers, each weighing 270 tonnes each, from Vlissingen in the Netherlands on behalf of machinery manufacturer Breston.

The hoppers were delivered to Kwinana in Australia and will be used to weigh and hold bulk goods discharged from ships, such as artificial fertiliser and raw materials.

In the Netherlands, the units were moved to the quayside by engineered transport provider Mammoet. The structures were subsequently loaded and fastened on board Jumbo’s vessel Fairpartner in preparation for the transit to Australia.

The hoppers arrived in Kwinana at the beginning of 2019.
