Multipurpose time charter rates edge up

Time charter rates in the multipurpose shipping sector have increased over the last month, according to the latest data from shipbroker Toepfer Transport.

Over the last month, Toepfer says that the average daily time charter rate for a 12,500 dwt/F-Type heavy lift vessel increased by USD78 to reach USD7,294.

This represents an increase of USD988 compared to the rate of USD6,306 at the same time last year.
