May 16 - Scheuerle, part of the TII Group, has delivered 42 axle lines of self-propelled modular transporters (SPMT) to RosRAO, a subsidiary of the Russian state atomic energy corporation, Rosatom, for the decommissioning of nuclear submarines.
To ensure safe operations, TII Group service units performed on-site trainings with RosRAO personnel. During the first operations, reactor compartments of dismantled submarines were moved to a storage facility.
According to the TII Group, RosRAO switched from a rail-bound transport system to the SPMTs to be more flexible, while maintaining a maximum degree of safety and reliability.
