July 28 - Specialized Rail Transport (SRT) has transported a 210-tonne repaired rotor from its factory to a nuclear power plant in Texas.
Back in December 2014, SRT handled the rail transport of the rotor, which measured 14.7 m x 3.25 m x 3 m, from the plant in Texas back to the factory for repairs. With work complete on the unit, SRT was called on to return the cargo.
SRT provided tie-down drawings, complete with the professional engineer stamp, as requested by the client. The company also handled the clearances, car ordering and expediting of the shipment.
