May 9 - Denholm Global Logistics and BNSF Logistics have worked together to transport two 53-tonne slag pots from Shanghai to a steel mill in the UK.

BNSF shipped the slag pots, each of which had the dimensions 6.25 m x 4.83 m x 3.5 m, from Shanghai to Newcastle on board the ro-ro vessel Hoegh Amsterdam using 100-tonne capacity Mafi trailers.

Denholm was employed by BNSF to arrange Customs clearance, mobile crane hire at the port of South Shields due to the terminal not having suitable equipment to lift the cargo, and final delivery to the steel mill in Lackenby, near Middlesborough.

BNSF Logistics is a member of the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC) for the USA, while Denholm Global Logistics is the UK member of the network.
