July 3 - Stena RoRo has reached an agreement with Finnish shipping company Godby Shipping to long-term charter its three ro-ro vessels: Misida, Misana and Miranda.

Due to the flexible configuration of the three vessels, which were built in Germany in 2007, they can be employed in both the Stena RoRo and Stena Line networks, said the company.

The 11,407 dwt ships each have an overall length of 165.75 m and beam of 23.4 m, as well as a service speed of 20 knots, and a ro-ro capacity of 2,150 lane metres.

The contract is the first to be based on the Bimco ROPAXTIME charter-party agreement, which is a new contract framework that aims to streamline ro-pax operations.
