October 4 - Effective November 4, Swire Shipping's North Asia service, which connects Japan, South Korea, China, and Taiwan to Papua New Guinea (PNG), the Pacific Islands and New Zealand will include an additional call at Rabaul, PNG.

The Swire Shipping direct service from North Asia will call at Rabaul every 20 days with a transit time of 11 days from South Korea, 17 days from Japan, 21 days from China and 24 days from Taiwan.

Jeremy Sutton, Swire Shipping general manager, said: "The introduction of this direct call from North Asia to Rabaul complements our existing service from South East Asia and provides our customers with market leading transit times to PNG."

Swire Shipping provides multipurpose liner services with capacity for conventional, refrigerated and breakbulk cargoes.
