January 13 - Swiss forwarder Fracht AG negotiated some challenging terrain to complete its latest move, writes Luke King.

The company transported a generator weighing more than 58 tonnes from northern Spain to Switzerland, bound for the hydropower plant ' Lütschental '.

Fracht's Daniel Steiner said "regulations prohibiting more than 30 tonnes being placed on some Swiss bridges necessitated the transfer of the generator from a normal lowbed trailer to a 45m long lowbed, in order to spread the weight".

"Swiss mountain roads are difficult," he said, "but no problem for Fracht".
