January 22 - Transdata Movimentação de Cargas Complexas has unloaded two FPSO (floating, production, storage and offloading) modules in Brazil.

The modules weighed 1,766 tonnes and 2,830 tonnes each, with the respective dimensions 23.03 m x 34.1 m x 24.35 m and 23.41 m x 34.58 m x 24.01 m.

The two modules were first shipped on board a semi-submersible heavy lift vessel from Korea to the Rio Grande do Sul state in Brazil, before Transdata offloaded the two units and delivered them to their final destinations.

The movement of the cargo required the use of 88 axle lines of self-propelled modular transporters (SPMT) and 18 axle lines of self-propelled transporters (SPT), as well as spreaders and other accessories, explained Transdata.

The modules are destined for use in Brazil's Santos Basin.

According to Transdata, this was one of the heaviest loads ever moved in Brazil.
