TransRussia hailed as the must attend transport exhibition in Russia

May 31 - The 16th edition TransRussia exhibition in which HLPFI participated as a media partner, has been hailed as a "must attend" event for international transport and logistics companies.

This year TransRussia grew in size again, and moved in pavilion 2 to accommodate the companies who all share the common aim to grow their business interests in Russia. 504 companies from 30 countries exhibited to showcase their services and products to the industry and to increase the awareness of their presence. 12 national group stands also represented their countries to the Russian market. Over the four days of the exhibition, the attendance from the industry was 18,100, an increase from 2010.

TransRussia also included a conference which presented the latest industry developments and brought business leaders and key figures together.

Peter Edwards , HLPFI publishing director said of his visit: "TransRussia provides the ideal opportunity to source the latest solutions, products and services available to the Russian market, and for exhibitors it's a chance to meet with new and old customers, they can gauge how the market is likely to develop over the next few years and get immediate feedback from the market on their company.

Lida Maclean, business manager containers, Port of Rotterdam, said "We made some good contacts, the quality of the visitors was high, managing director level; you talk to the right people, the decision makers, in my opinion everyone is here, and it is a good exhibition, good turnout, and a lot of people. We exhibit to show what we can do as a port and our position in Europe".

Julia Wocka-Gowda, event manager - Transport division, ITE, commented "We are delighted that TransRussia has had another successful year and is the recognised platform for international companies to access the Russian transport market. There is a really positive atmosphere on the show floor that Russia has emerged from the recession and demand is on the up for many companies."

The next TransRussia takes place 24-27 April 2012, at the Expo Centre, Moscow, Russia and will feature an additional pavilion, 8.1 to accommodate the growing marine sector at the show. In response to the growth of the air cargo freight sector in the Russian transport industry, TransRussia will also be introducing an air freight area which will enable international providers to grow their interests in the Russian market.
