November 7 - Earlier this year, as part of an ongoing project forwarding contract with Daelim, Almajdouie Logistics transported an oil quench tower, a water quench tower and a C3 splitter from Jubail Industrial Port to the SADARA project site in Saudi Ara

SADARA is a joint venture between Aramco and the Dow Chemical Company that will construct, own and operate an integrated chemicals complex in Jubail Industrial City II.

The oil quench tower weighed 1,215 tonnes, with the dimensions 63.9 m x 15.2 m x 13.9 m; the water quench tower weighed 859.7 tonnes, with the dimensions 58.6 m x 11.3 m x 11.7 m; and the C3 splitter weighed 1,272 tonnes, with the dimensions 58.6 m x 11.3 m x 9.8 m.

Almajdouie handled the direct delivery from the vessel in port, the import clearance and the 34 km transportation to the site, using two 35-axle and two 36-axle SPMTs.

It was necessary to remove six street lamps, seven sign posts and two signal lights in order to complete the delivery.

Almajdouie's on-going contract with Daelim began in April 2012 and is set to be completed in mid-2014, by which time the company is expected to have transported a total of 370,000 tonnes of cargo for the project.
