May 1 - Universal Transport has successfully completed the delivery of a 120-tonne transfer table from Dresden to Paderborn.

The steel table, which measured 20 m long and 5 m wide, was transported using an 8x4 tractor unit, a three-axle dolly and five-axle trailer. The oversize item was transported at night over the course of 48 hours.

During the second night the trailer combination was unable to take a direct route to Paderborn, due to road works on the A33 motorway near Bielefeld. The shipment had to take a 160 km detour via Dortmund.

Upon arrival at the final jobsite, the transfer table was lifted from the trailer over a wall using a truck-mounted crane, before being reloaded for last-mile delivery to the factory hall.
