July 2 - Two new VEKA pontoons have arrived in Rotterdam from China, for delivery to Royal Wagenborg and Muller Dordrecht later this month.
Both offshore pontoons are fully ballastable and have the dimensions 100 m x 33 m x 7.6 m, with a deadweight of approximately 3,000 tonnes. The heavy-duty pontoons can carry deck loads of up to 15 tonnes per sq m, and are equipped with a ballast pump, power generator and anchor system.
Another larger VEKA pontoon is currently being fully outfitted, having been launched three weeks ago at a partner shipyard in China.
This new pontoon, which measures 122 m x 36.6 m and has a deck load capacity of 20 tonnes, will be delivered to Royal Wagenborg in Rotterdam later this year.
