September 15 - Fagioli and Tecnoservice have transported four 130-ton (118-tonne) heat exchangers from the Interporto di Rovigo to the Transped terminal at the Port of Venice, Italy along the Canal Bianco river, for onward shipment to Kuwait.

CTS Trasporti oversaw the transportation and supervised the loading of the cargoes on to a V class barge in Rovigo, as well as the transhipment at Venice, on behalf of Spanish freight forwarder Altius.

According to the Port of Venice, this is the third shipment of the project, which started in July last year, utilising the river connection between the Interporto di Rovigo and the Port of Venice.

"This exclusive method of transport by river has proven crucial for the four mega exchangers, whose size has greatly determined the choice to adopt river transport from Rovigo to Venice, allowing for the transportation of project cargo in a stable and safe manner," explained Paolo Zangrando of CTS Trasporti.

At the Port of Venice, the heat exchangers were loaded on board Arkon Shipping's heavy lift vessel Panthera J, for onward shipment to Shuaiba in Kuwait.
