February 26 - Netherlands based Wagenborg Nedlift has delivered the first storage tanks to the Vopak Vlaardingen tank storage terminal in the south of the country.

Wagenborg Nedlift is responsible for the transportation and positioning of 52 tanks at the new Vopak Vlaardingen facility.

The first shipment was manufactured in Willebroek, Belgium and shifted to the Vlaardingen quayside on a 135 m inland vessel. Upon arrival, a Wagenborg Nedlift 500-tonne crawler crane was used to unload the 112-tonne 'rusk tins' onto SPMT trailers.

Using a specially constructed temporary road the tanks were shifted to the new storage terminal and positioned on their foundations using a 750-tonne crawler (pictured).

Wagenborg expects the entire consignment of tanks to be delivered to the Vopak jobsite during Spring 2013.
