November 27 - Wagenborg Nedlift has managed the transportation of a 320 tonne giant transformer from the fabrication yard at Nijmegen to the Tennet electricity sub-station at Ens in the Netherlands.
The most precious piece of equipment was a steel press with a weight of 650 tonnes.
Equipped with a hydraulic lifting gantry system, four strandjack systems, a skidding system and a modular support system, the Wagenborg Nedlift crew managed to install the precious giant onto its foundation in just a few days.
The new steel mill will commence operations in Spring 2010.
