September 17 - Wilhelmsen Ships Service (WSS) has opened an office in Western Australia to meet increased business opportunities, as the port of Geraldton continues to grow.

The new office in Geraldton has been operational from day one, with a number of experienced local staff on hand to utilise existing relations with the port.
The port of Geraldton is located 424 km north of Perth, in Western Australia's Midwest region. In the past five years the port has expanded from five million to ten million tonnes per annum, and is forecast to reach 15 million tonnes per annum in 2014.
"By concentrating on the growing port of Geraldton, we are putting ourselves in a strong position to provide ship owners with easy access to our agency services", says WSS' general manager for Western Australia, Michael Connolly.
