The largest component of the shiploader was over 66 m long and weighed 250 tonnes. Once assembled and operational, it will increase the terminal's shipping capacity and allow for the loading of post-Panamax ships.

The shiploader was transported from China on AAL's Pacific Service between Asia and North America on board the shipping line's AAL Singapore.

Responsible for the logistics and planning of the shipment was Ontario-based Convoy Logistics Providers (CLP). CLP was appointed by EMS-TECH, who designed and commissioned the shiploader.
