January 14 - Agility Global Integrated Logistics (Agility GIL) has appointed John Klompers as chief of commercial strategies.
Overseeing air, sea, global sales and marketing as well as supply chain solutions, Klompers is focused on driving business growth on a global level, says Agility.
Commenting on the appointment, Essa Al Saleh, president and chief executive officer for Agility GIL said, "John brings with him extensive industry expertise and knowledge and he will be instrumental in streamlining and growing Agility's business across all regions."
Based in the company's HQ in Baar, Switzerland, Klompers comes to Agility GIL with a strong track record in international freight forwarding. During his 20-year career, he has held senior management roles with Phillips,Mueller Air Freight, Panalpina and most recently, CEVA Logistics.
