Bellville buy expands OIA's network

September 18 - Portland, Oregon based OIA Global has purchased majority control of Bellville International Ltd, headquartered in London, UK.

OIA Global is a leading worldwide transportation, supply chain management and packaging solutions provider.

Bellville International, the holding company for Bellville Rodair International in Europe, USA, China and Brazil, is a global provider of freight forwarding and logistics services.

HLPFI understands that Bellville Rodair in Canada is not part of the deal and continues to operate independently with its own shareholders.

"This acquisition expands our global network by 22 company-owned offices, serving 14 additional countries, which positions OIA to better serve our growing international client base, particularly in Europe where Bellville has a strong presence," says Charlie Hornecker, ceo of OIA Global.

Terry Walpole, Bellville's group chairman, said: "Bellville International will continue to operate as it does today, with its own people, identity and systems remaining firmly in place."
