April 27 - With diverse interests in logistics and freight forwarding within the UAE, the CSS Group continues to expand and add to its capabilities.
One particular area of focus for CSS over the coming year will be the provision of global shipping and logistics services for new and used construction machinery and equipment.
As a recent example of its capabilities in this sector CSS was appointed to secure a suitable vessel to load and ship a large consignment of Caterpillar dump truck machines (seen below) from Mumbai to Jebel Ali on behalf of Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers.
This was a time sensitive shipment says CSS with the cargo being required in Jebel Ali for a major auction. It had to be completely dismantled, trucked from Hydrabad to Mumbai in order to meet the chartered vessel which was capable of accommodating 777 machines, which are some of Caterpillar's
largest dump trucks.
CSS managed the overland transportation across India as well as export documentation, border crossings and the actual vessel loading.
