February 3 - Dacotrans Sweden has merged with GH Transport and Key Logistics to form a medium-sized freight forwarding and logistics outfit.

The three merged companies, all of which offered a comprehensive range of freight forwarding services, including air, ocean and projects, will now trade as Key Logistics.

Former managing director of Dacotrans Sweden, Stefan Hansson, had been appointed ceo of the new venture, which will continue to be operated from Gothenburg.

"As a means to strengthen our organisations and further improve their competitiveness, we have decided to merge our three logistics businesses into a single unit that exploits economies of scale," said Hansson.

Key Logistics will become the Famous Pacific Shipping (FPS) network agent for Sweden.

HLPFI reported in December 2013 that Hansson and Caj Larsson had acquired Dacotrans after the retirement of Sten Wasmouth.
