April 14 - Fairmount Marine's Fairmount Sherpa has towed the ultra deep water rig Sevan Louisiana over 18,500 km from Singapore to Cura

The self-propelled rig Sevan Louisiana, which was built at the Cosco shipyard in Nantong, China in 2013 for UK-based Seadrill Ltd, is equipped with eight thrusters and can accomodate up to 150 crew members.

Following stops in Mauritius' Port Louis, Namibia's Walvis Bay and Trinidad's Port of Spain, the rig arrived in Curaçao, where the Fairmount Sherpa performed multiple cargo runs for Sevan Louisiana.

The rig will leave Curaçao on its own thrusters for its next job in the Gulf of Mexico.

Fairmount Marine was recently acquired by Royal Boskalis Westminster nv, which was reported by HLPFI on March 3, 2014.
