First lady for Port of Pensacola

December 20 - Mayor Hayward has appointed Amy Miller as director of the Port of Pensacola in Florida, making her the first female director since the port's establishment in the mid-1700s.

Miller was made manager of business and trade development at the Port of Pensacola in 2002, before her duties were expanded to include budgeting, finance and human resources activities in 2006.
