Frew to step down

Angus Frew, secretary general and ceo of the Baltic and International Maritime Council (BIMCO), will step down from his roles during August 2020.

Frew was appointed BIMCO secretary general and ceo during 2013 having previously served as chief executive at the UK Chamber of Shipping. The association hopes to have a successor in place by the end of 2019.

“I have been extremely happy leading BIMCO through some challenging years for our industry, and very proud of what the leadership team of BIMCO has achieved over that time. It has been a privilege to engage with so many shipping professionals all over the world, but now it is time for me to pass on the torch,” said Frew.
