September 2 - Integrated logistics, shipping and marine services provider, GAC Group, has made a swathe of managerial changes.

Erland Ebbersten, formerly group vice president for the Africa, Russia and Central Asia region, has been appointed group vice president - Marine. He now heads the newly established Marine division covering Abu Dhabi, Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan. He will be based in Abu Dhabi.

Mikko Wieru, who previously led GAC Qatar, will assume the helm as company manager of GAC Marine Abu Dhabi. Succeeding Wieru as GAC Qatar company manager by will be Daniel Nordberg, who served in the same role in Oman.

Johan Fulke takes the reigns at GAC Oman, having most recently served as company manager of GAC Marine Abu Dhabi.

Thomas Okbo, previously company manager of GAC Hong Kong, takes over as group vice president for the Africa region. Russia, which previously fell under the Africa, Russia and Central Asia region, now forms part of GAC Europe. Maria Lam has now taken up the role of GAC Hong Kong company manager.

Lars Bergström, previously group vice president of the Middle East, takes over as group vice president for the Asia Pacific region, as well as the Indian subcontinent area including Pakistan. Bergström has been replaced by Fredrik Nyström, former group vice president of the Asia Pacific region.

Joel Domingo has been elected as company manager for GAC Philippines, replacing Jake Cuerva who served as managing director. Cuerva will continue as GAC's partner and chairman of the GAC Philippines board.

Lukas Jönsson, formerly business development manager with GAC Sweden, has succeeded Mats Boberg as company manager. Boberg will remain with GAC Sweden until his retirement at the end of 2016.
