Peel Ports has appointed Richard Goffin as port director at its London Medway Sheerness facility, as part of the company's plans to drive growth at the port.

Goffin will assume the post this month having spent two years as port director at Peel Ports Great Yarmouth, a post he will continue to hold.

He replaces previous port director Paul Barker, who will now head up the group's newly created ro-ro business unit.

Goffin will be responsible for developing commercial opportunities and investment at the port, including the realisation of Peel Ports' 20-year strategy that that includes plans for expansion at the port and the creation of new logistics facilities.
