July 31 - Hamburg headquartered shipping line Hapag-Lloyd has appointed Thorsten Haeser as its new chief commercial officer (CCO), and elected him as a new executive board member.
Haeser will be responsible for the line's global sales activities when he joins on October 1, 2015. He currently serves as managing director of telecommunications company Versatel.
"In Thorsten Haeser we have acquired a proven sales expert with international experience for Hapag-Lloyd", the Supervisory Board's chairman Michael Behrendt. "In particular he brings his extensive experience in establishing innovative sales concepts to the role."
