Interim over for Horizon's Rubin

September 5 - Horizon Lines's board of directors has elected interim president and chief executive officer (ceo) Steven Rubin to serve as president and ceo on a non-interim basis.

Rubin was appointed to Horizon Lines' board of directors in November 2011 and continues to serve as a director of the company.

"Throughout this interim period, Rubin's experience and skills as a seasoned transportation executive have made the transition seamless," said David Weinstein, chairman of the board.
