Zeaborn forms JV with MPC

Zeaborn Group has formed a joint venture with MPC Capital Group to handle the chartering and commercial management of a fleet of more than 160 container and bulk carriers.

The joint venture will operate under the brand Harper Petersen, which already covers Zeaborn’s shipbroking activities. MPC’s activities in this field operate under the Contchart brand, with offices in Hamburg, the Netherlands and Singapore. These offices will be renamed Harper Petersen.

International law firm Watson Farley & Williams (WFW) advised Zeaborn on the joint venture agreement. The closing of the transaction is subject to the merger control clearance.
