Time charter rates in the multipurpose shipping sector have marginally increased over the last month, according to the latest data from shipbroker Toepfer Transport.
According to Toepfer, the average daily time charter rate for a 12,500 dwt/F-Type heavy lift vessel increased by USD10 over the previous month to reach USD7,518 in November.
This represents an increase of USD818 compared to the rate of USD6,700 at the same time last year.
Toepfer's monthly TMI index is based on six to 12-month time charter rates and is compiled using data obtained from operators, owners and brokers.
