Marine consultancy Brookes Bell has appointed Michael Riddell as a senior master mariner.
Riddell began his maritime career at Safmarine in South Africa, sailing on cargo, container and bulk vessels. He has extensive experience in emergency response and wreck removal; vessel suitability and condition surveys; towage approvals; container ship fire inspections; and consulting for salvage operations on behalf of insurers, as well as governments and maritime authorities.
