UTC grows in Guyana

August 14 - UTC Overseas has expanded its presence in Guyana with the appointment of Bob Stevens, the firm's Caribbean field director, to support its recently opened Guyanese office.

Stevens, who previously served as country operations manager at ExxonMobil in Belize, has worked for UTC for the past 14 years on project logistics planning for oil and gas projects in Africa, Asia and South America.

In his new role, Stevens will be responsible for recruiting and training a local workforce to service the company's Guyana office.

The appointment of Stevens is part of an accelerated programme by UTC to expand its project cargo services in the country and hire Guyanese staff, to capitalise on the expanding operations of oil, gas and energy sectors in the country.
