January 30 - Germany's Alexander Global Logistics has transported two large absorbers, along with some containers and other breakbulk cargo from Berlin to Alexandria.

Each of the absorbers weighed 47.15 tonnes and had the dimensions 7.12 m x 7.05 m x 4.21 m, which proved challenging during the oncarriage in Egypt.

Alexander organised the loading of the absorbers by mobile crane and barge transport from Berlin to Antwerp, where the cargo was shipped to the port of Alexandria.

In Egypt the company also organised handling, survey, Customs clearance and oncarriage to the jobsite.

Alexander Global Logistics is a member of the Cargo Equipment Experts (CEE) network in Germany.
