August 30 - ALE has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with COSCO Shipping Project Logistics.

The agreement will enable ALE to work with COSCO Shipping Project Logistics, the logistics arm of China-based COSCO Shipping, on heavy lift projects.

Mark Foreman, ALE's director - South East Asia region, said: "COSCO has a well established and long-term cooperation with large state-owned enterprises, as well as vast experience in logistics project management.

"Matched with our specialist heavy transportation and lifting equipment, we can complement and strengthen each other's capabilities. This mutually beneficial agreement means we can ultimately actively seek a larger market share both nationally and globally."

The signing ceremony took place in July with Foreman and Cui Wenke, deputy general manager from COSCO Shipping Project Logistics.

This development comes two years after the Sarens Group set up a joint venture with Sinotrans in China.
