To assist the transfer of the two loads onto the transport platforms, ALE installed two 29 metre transverse beams at strategic places on the container cranes.
The transport covered a total distance of 500 metres on two 20-axel line SPMTs, taking little more than one hour per crane.
ALE Heavylift has also managed the replacement of three boiler modules at the Mendoza Power Plant in Argentina. Each module was more than 24 metres in length and weighed 60 tonnes. ALE used two 70 tonne capacity strand lifting units, a 70 tonne capacity rotation lifting frame and a 150 tonne capacity skidding system during the installation of the boiler modules
