March 21 - Greencarrier Freight Services has transported two Brødrene Aa catamarans from Norway to Hong Kong.

One of the vessels was a 270 pax catamaran, which measured 40 m in length and weighed 100 tonnes. According to Greencarrier, because of the size and weight of the cargoes, the vessels had to be transported on heavy lift vessels.

The first catamaran was shipped on board Oslo Bulk's ABB Vanessa while the other was transported on a BBC Chartering vessel.

Ole Jan Gundersen, project manager for Projects & Logistics at Greencarrier, led the project and was also the field engineer during the loading in Hyen, Norway and unloading in Hong Kong.

Greencarrier Freight Services was responsible for the planning, project management, the arrangement of the heavy lift vessels as well as the lo-lo, surveying and marine goods insurance.
