Cometto, part of the Faymonville Group, has delivered an electric EMT 4/4 trailer to Europropulsion in French Guiana.

In partnership with Bisiach e Carrù, one of Italy's leading robotic companies, Cometto delivered the fully electric self-propelled platform designed for in-plant heavy-duty logistics.

According to Cometto, its wide cushion tyres and hydraulic suspension enable the vehicle to be used in internal and external environments.

The EMT range by Cometto also includes a two-axle version with a load capacity of 18 tonnes, and a three-axle model with a load capacity of 28 tonnes. The EMT vehicles can be controlled by remote control or with a self-driving automated guided vehicle (AGV) system.

Europropulsion, a subsidiary of Italy's Avio and French Arianegroup, develops large solid-propellant rocket motors for European space launchers Ariane and Vega under the European Space Agency (ESA) management.
